Social Learning Platform MVP for Observe

Observe's founder had an idea: let people test a future career by talking to someone who does the job. A landing page and a waitlist could not show how that works. A demo needed accounts, organisations, payments and live video working together, on an early-stage budget. And the founder had never worked with Hygge before. We opened with a paid 20-hour trial over four days. Then one Hygge engineer built the social learning platform MVP. It has profiles, group spaces, Stripe payments and live video in the browser. The founder used it to attract talent and support.

Would You Hand an Unknown Team Your Whole MVP Budget?

If you are an early-stage founder, MVP development with us can start with a short paid trial, so you see how we work. You get the scope and price before the full build starts.

Where an Early-Stage Founder Gets Stuck

A landing page and a waitlist could not show how the product works.

A Working Platform

Accounts, organisations, payments and live sessions had to work end to end.

Real Enough to Demo

The product had to be real enough to show the people the founder needed on board.

Small Budget, Short Window

The build had to fit an early-stage budget and timeline.

Trust Before Commitment

The founder wanted to test the working relationship before signing up for a build.

The Challenge

Observe's idea is a place where people test-drive a career by hearing from those who already do the job. To work, the product needed accounts, group spaces, payments and live calls in one place. The founder needed it real enough to show, inside a small budget and a short window. The founder also wanted to try the working relationship first.

Career choices made with real information, turned into a platform a founder could demo.

Our Solution

The work opened with a paid trial of twenty hours over four days, so both sides could see how it went. It then ran as an MVP of roughly three months. The MVP has user profiles and group spaces for schools and teams. It takes Stripe payments and runs live video in the browser over WebRTC. One Hygge engineer built the platform, with project management on Hygge's side. Daily syncs and task tracking ran in the client's own systems. The founder used the result to attract talent and support.

A paid trial, then a focused MVP built by one experienced engineer.

How the Social Learning Platform MVP Solves It

Each card answers one problem above.

The Whole Loop Built

Profiles, organisations, payments and live video work together in one product.

A Demo People Can Try

The full flow works end to end, from sign-up to a live call.

Scope Sized to the Stage

One engineer and about three months, aimed at what the demo had to show.

A 20-Hour Paid Trial First

Four days of paid work showed the founder how Hygge works before the full build.

What Hygge Built

Each feature is part of what an early social learning product needs to prove itself.

User Profiles

Learners and professionals sign up and build a profile.

Organisations

Schools, groups and communities get their own space inside the platform.

Subscription Payments

Access is tied to subscriptions handled through Stripe.

Live Video in the Browser

Peer-to-peer WebRTC sessions keep conversations inside the platform.

Demo-Ready End to End

The full flow works well enough to show collaborators.

Built in React and Node.js

A web stack the startup can keep building on.

What Runs Without Anyone Pressing a Button

Once a learner signs up, the platform handles the rest.

Members Land in Their Organisation

A new user joins the school or group space through its invite.

Access Follows the Subscription

Stripe takes the payment, and access opens with it.

The Call Opens in the Browser

Learner and professional talk over browser video, with no separate call tool.
