The Challenge
Smarter Humans sells timing: it brings back what a learner is about to forget at the right moment. If scheduling fails or the platform goes down, the product stops doing its one job. New learners left during onboarding because writing cards took too long. Large PDFs opened in 15 to 20 seconds. About a million users had to move off the old architecture without noticing.
The product promises to show a card right before you forget it. Slow screens, lost data or a wrong AI answer break that promise.
Our Solution
We built an AI pipeline that turns a learner's upload into flashcards, key concepts and explanations. A chat answers from the same documents, so a question about a textbook gets an answer from that textbook. We replaced the commercial viewer with our own, so pages draw at once. We moved the whole user base to the rebuilt system with zero downtime. Native apps now sync between a learner's devices over WebRTC, offline included.
