HR Platform for the Hygge Team
People asked for time off by email, and balances lived in a spreadsheet. Hiring ran on one board and projects in another tracker. Each place held its own version of the facts about a person. A leave balance was correct only as of HR's last recount. We built one platform for Hygge's team: people, time off, hiring and projects in one place. Balances, pay history and reminders update every night. Our team works in it every day, and client HR platform development starts from the same modules.

Still Counting Leave Balances by Hand?
If leave requests come by email and balances live in a spreadsheet, we start by mapping how your team handles people today. We show which parts a platform like this takes over. You get a proposal with the scope, team, timeline and cost.
Where HR Lost Its Hours
Each process lived in its own place, and a person had to keep each one current.
Leave Requests in Email Threads
People asked for time off by email, and HR tracked it in a spreadsheet. A balance was right only until the next request.
Balances Counted by Hand
HR worked out accruals, tenure days and staff and contractor rules for each person. It also tracked anniversaries by hand.
Records That Kept Only Today
A role or pay rate showed only its current value. Who held a position last year, or what someone earned on a date, meant digging through old records.
Hiring Numbers Out of Date
A closed role could still look open in one place, and funnel numbers needed a separate manual update.
Reminders in Personal Calendars
Birthdays, anniversaries, probation ends and approvals waited on someone to set an alert.
Projects Apart From People
Tasks lived in a separate tracker with no link to the people, teams and roles in the HR data.
The Challenge
As Hygge grew, each people process found its own home. Leave sat in spreadsheets and email, hiring on its own board. Projects lived in another tracker and contracts in a file store. HR recounted balances by hand, and recruiters fixed funnel numbers after the fact. A question about past roles or pay meant searching old records.
The same employee existed in several places, and HR spent its hours keeping those records in line.
Our Solution
We built one system for the whole employee lifecycle. The org structure mirrors how the company works. Records keep the full role and pay history, and time off accrues on its own. Hiring has a pipeline and a public careers page, and project boards sit next to the HR data. A role sets access and can limit it to a person's own record or team. Every module sends notices through one event system. Nightly jobs keep balances, pay history and reminders current.
One platform where each fact about a person is entered once and the routine runs on a schedule.
What the HR Platform Does
The modules Hygge's team works in every day.
Time Off in a Few Clicks
A person sees the balance before and after the request. The request goes straight to their manager.
Accruals Without a Spreadsheet
Each policy has its own accrual rule, applied to every person every night. Staff and contractors follow separate rules, and extra days come after three years.
Role and Pay History for Any Date
Every role and rate keeps its full history. Who held a position and what a person earned on a given day comes straight from the record.
An Org Structure That Matches the Company
Departments, sub-teams, roles, levels and locations, with a head and mentors per department.
Employee Records
Profile, pay, documents and emergency contacts for each person. The platform encrypts sensitive files end to end.
Hiring Where a Filled Role Closes Everywhere
Vacancies with custom stages, a candidate board, calendar invites and a public careers page. A filled or closed role locks everywhere at once.
Projects Next to People
Kanban boards, sprints, subtasks and a change history on every task, and a Jira backlog moves across in full.
Roles Decide Who Sees Pay
A role opens a whole area, a team or only a person's own record, and that boundary holds in every module.
Updates by Voice
A person dictates an update. The platform changes the record, assigns the responsible person and logs the agreement.
What Runs on Its Own
The routine that used to need a person now runs on a schedule.
Balances That Accrue Themselves
Every night, per person and per policy, with tenure and type of collaboration factored in.
Pay History Without Gaps
Starting a new rate closes the previous one, so there are no gaps or overlaps to fix.
Reminders at the Right Moment
Birthdays, anniversaries, probation deadlines and pending approvals send their own notices.
Hiring Numbers That Update Themselves
Moving a candidate through the pipeline updates the funnel report on its own.
